What’s your name and what do you do?
My name is Gwen Kelly. I wear many hats: By profession, I am an Administrative Assistant/Development Coordinator at Dress for Success Cincinnati. I also own my own business called Diva G Enterprises. Under Diva G Enterprises is A Supreme Event, event planning and Diva G’s Desserts. Outside of that, I am a model (on hiatus at this moment), I am a reigning Pageant Queen (Royal Productions Complete Elite 2023/2024), the International Director of the Classic Beauties International Pageant, a member of the Epsilon Lambda Sigma Philo Affiate of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., a volunteer lead at my church, and most importantly, a mom and grandmom!
How long have you been doing what you do?
I’ve been an administrative professional for over 40 years and have owned my business for 15 years. I’ve been at Dress for Success for a little over a year and I just recently celebrated my second year as a Philo and my first year as the Director of CBI.
What have been your challenges?
TIME!!!! There’s definitely never enough time in a day, week or month – LOL. But really, right now one of my biggest challenges is recruiting for the current pageant year for the Classic Beauties International Pageant, which is a virtual pageant. I’m looking for contestants of all ages (18 and up), married or single to compete.
What are your greatest accomplishments?
One of my most recent accomplishments is taking on more responsibilities at my job, working with our Development VP in the areas of fundraising and community service. I have a lot of experience and want to bring more to the table to help make a difference at my job and in my community. I also consider completing a successful first year as the Director of CBI a major accomplishment since this was my first time having that type of responsibility.
What are your plans for the future?
Truthfully, my plans for the future are to take one day at a time. I have many irons in the fire and want to make sure that everything that I am committed to is completed successfully.
