What’s your name and what do you do?
My name is Lynn Burnam Hardy, I am the owner/operator of Lynn’s Loving Hands Family Childcare and Preschool. Lynn’s Loving Hands is a home-based daycare who provide excellent childcare and preschool services for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
How long have you been doing what you do?
I have been a childcare provider for 6 years. I opened on January 28, 2018.
What have been your challenges?
I think my biggest challenge right now is limited space. I am running out of room in my home, I’ve totally took over the first floor, the basement is used for storage and our bedroom is also becoming storage for Lynn’s Loving Hands as well, lol.
What are your greatest accomplishments?
In 6 years, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much. I obtained my 1st, 3rd, and 5th Step Up to Quality Star, I obtained my CDA, I enrolled in Cincinnati State ECE program, and I went from a Type B provider to a Type A provider.
What are your plans for the future?
If God sees fit, I plan on opening my own childcare center one day. My childcare program is in high demand, I wish I could take care of all the babies, but right now I am only licensed for 12. I’m looking to open a childcare center in the near future.
How can people contact you?
I can be contacted via cell 513-580-3700 or on Facebook, Lynn’s Loving Hands Family Childcare and Preschool.
Any other information you would like to share?
In 2017 I found out my oldest daughter was with child. I wanted to support my daughter in every way on this beautiful journey, so at the age of 50 I decided to become a childcare provider. Everyone thought I was crazy, but I always wanted to open my own daycare. So, after working in the corporate world for 20 plus yrs., I decided this was the perfect time to do so. Becoming a parent is a life changing experience, and its often filled with challenges. One of the biggest challenges is finding good quality childcare. As a mother of 4, I know the importance of finding dependable and trustworthy childcare and I knew that I could provide the kind of care and attention that I would want for my own children and grandchildren.
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a childcare provider is the opportunity to watch young children develop and grow. It is an incredible feeling to know that I am helping to shape the lives of young children, by setting the foundation and preparing them for the future.
