What’s your name and what do you do?
My name is Dariah Marcus, I am a wife, mother, full-time healthcare administrator, part-time virtual assistant, and this year I proudly serve as Mrs. USA Prime Division 3, 2023!
How long have you been doing what you do?
I have been married to my incredible husband for almost 3 years. Together, we enjoy parenting our 11 year old daughter as we anticipate the arrival of our newest blessing this coming September!
Professionally, I have worked in the healthcare field, in various roles, for almost 10 years. However, virtual assisting is a venture that I’ve recently chosen to pursue that has allowed me to put my customer support and account management experience to work in a unique, and authentic way.
Though I am still relatively new to pageantry, it feels like this industry has been a part of my life for much longer! I entered my first pageant (Prime Pageants) in 2022 and walked away with my first national title. Now, it’s hard to imagine what life would be like had I not started this journey when I did.
What have been your challenges?
Some of the greatest challenges I’ve faced as an adult were surrounding my identity, self-esteem, and single parenthood. Having overcome a toxic relationship and difficult past early in adulthood, I struggled to untangle my mindset from limiting beliefs and defeating thoughts about myself. This combined with raising a baby girl as a single mom was beyond difficult. It was a combination of therapy and faith that helped me most on my journey. Though healing is always ongoing, I couldn’t be more proud of the woman I am today.
What are your greatest accomplishments?
My greatest accomplishments will always be the joy of my child(ren), the peace within my marriage, and the strength of my faith. Everything else is just icing on an already beautiful cake!
What are your plans for the future?
In the near future, I’m excited to focus my time on motherhood as we welcome our newest addition. Long term, I’m looking forward to growing my business, continuing in pageantry, and launching new projects that I’ve been working on throughout this year.
